Membership in the Church of God of Prophecy is based on Biblical principles.

The first step of the process starts with repentance. Repentance is an individual act where a person admits they are a sinner (Romans 3:23), expresses Godly sorrow for sins committed, and acknowledg-es salvation through Jesus Christ (Romans 10: 9-10).

The second step is taking the church covenant, which is adminis-tered by an authorized Church of God of Prophecy minister. The church covenant: Will you sincerely promise in the presence of God and these witnesses that you will accept this Bible as the Word of God, believe and practice its teachings rightly divided—the New Tes-tament as your rule of faith, practice, government, and discipline, and walk in the light to the best of your knowledge and ability?

The third step is integration of a new member into the local church. This includes discipleship (Acts 2:42; 2 Peter 3:18) or guiding, men-toring , teaching the new member to be more like Christ. There will be support, mentorship and Biblical teaching.
